Blockx Watercolours are made from finely-ground, lightfast pigments mixed with a gum arabic and honey binder.
These professional artist quality watercolours come in a range of 81 beautiful colours, all presented neatly in traditional half pans.
The gum arabic and honey used in the binding of these paints offer incomparable quality of application, with the potential to create stunning washes and intricate details.
All the colours in this range are highly lightfast.
They’re made with rare, light resistant pigments which will ensure your work remains bright and luminous over the course of time.
Each colour has been painstakingly tested for light resistance, with all hues scoring a rating of 7 or greater on the blue wool scale (where the maximum is 8).
The paints are poured into their half pans in a three stage process.
The pigment and binder are poured into the pan in successive layers, with time given for each layer to dry.
This ensures that pigment concentration and richness is preserv.
