Created by Henri Sennelier at the behest of Pablo Picasso, Sennelier Oil Pastels offer artists intense, vibrant colours in a wide variety of hues.
These pastels are highly lightfast and offer excellent brightness, and – thanks to the top-quality pigments and an extremely pure synthetic binding medium and mineral wax used in their formulation – can be applied on a wide variety of surfaces without cracking or affecting the surface.

Like Sennelier's other ranges, these oil pastels possess an extraordinarily high pigment content, giving them stunningly vibrant colour, excellent covering abilities, and a high degree of lightfastness*.
These incredible pastels were first created back in 1949, when Parisian painter Henri Goetz approached Henri Sennelier – son of the company's founder, Gustave Sennelier – to inquire about creating a wax colour stick for his friend, Pablo Picasso.
