Using the Löwenstein prismaAQUA respiratory humidifier heats up and moistens the exhaled air in your Löwenstein prismaLINE device.
This stops the mucous membranes from drying out.
Once you have inserted the prismaAQUA respiratory humidifier into your Löwenstein prismaLINE device and started the session, the respiratory humidifier will switch on automatically.
You can change the humidification level from the device menu.
There are five levels to choose from.
The most suitable humidification level for you will depend on the room temperature and the air humidity.
To select the correct humidification level, follow these recommendations: Increase the humidification level if your nose or mouth feels dry.
Reduce the humidification level if water droplets are forming in the mask or breathing hose.
If the water level in the respiratory humidifier is too low, the device will switch off the humidifier automatically.
