Description

The soul of this Nicolas Feuillatte Champagne is the best Pinot Noir in the Champagne region. The grapes come from the villages of Verzy and Verzenay, on gentle slopes facing north, and from the Grands Crus d'Aÿ, Bouzy and Ambonnay, facing south. From the union of these terroirs comes this great Champagne described as "a perfect balance between restlessness and lightness, depth and delicacy". Also adding complexity and depth are the five long years of ageing on the lees in the bottle. A long but essential time to allow the wine to reach the right maturity and give great satisfaction to those who taste it. Straw yellow with golden highlights, the perlage of this wine could not be more elegant. The nose is striking for the richness of its bouquet, composed of delicately citrus notes, hints of spices and mineral hints. In the mouth, however, it surprises with its subtle fruit aromas. Small berries that well balance the natural freshness. Vigour and depth, body and lightness. A Blanc de Noirs of great character, this Champagne proves to be extremely versatile. Excellent as an aperitif, it accompanies marinated or fried fish, as well as oysters and shellfish.
