Description

A marriage of love, that of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, grown on some of the most beautiful plots of land in all of Champagne. A marriage made solid thanks to a very long ageing on the lees, lasting almost a decade. Dom Pérignon 2013 is a tribute to late harvests, a vintage that faced the challenges of a cold winter and a rainy spring, with vine growth delayed by around two weeks. The hot, dry summer ensured optimal ripening of the grapes, which was further enhanced by the September winds that kept the bunches healthy until the harvest, which took place between 28 September and 15 October. The nose is an explosion of colours and aromas: green of eucalyptus and mint, yellow-orange of apricot and orange blossom, brown of pepper and liquorice, with a touch of iodine. On the palate, it is elegant and precise, with a silky texture that evolves into a savoury and consistent finish.
